How to download Windows 10 by manually triggering it?

Manual download of Windows 10

Microsoft has opened the floodgates for Windows 10, making the upgrade available in 190 countries around the globe. If you’ve already reserved the upgrade on Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1 and are yet to see the update, there’s an easy fix that allows you to manually initiate the download process.
So How to do it?
Before you begin, ensure Windows Update can download and install updates automatically.
  • Now Go to Windows update page and keep it open. Do not do anything now.
  • Open Command Prompt in Administrator mode and type the following command: ‘wuauclt.exe/updatenow ‘. Do not press enter button.
    • Go to Window update page and click ‘Check Update’ button. A window should start searching for new updates.
  • Now go to Command Prompt window, where you have typed the command ‘wuauclt.exe/updatenow ‘ and press enter.
This should trigger the Windows 10 download and you can download Windows 10 manually.
